AAA x3 to single CR123A (or RCR123A)

An extremely simple DIY mod to make use of CR123A lithium cells (or the rechargeable version RCR123A).

In this example, it's as simple as making the lithium cell the same size as the three AAA battery pack in the Dollar Tree flashlight.

This was accomplished by a small piece of wood, with metal (screws in this case) going through the wood to extend the negative pole.

This particular flashlight's LED has a forward voltage of 2.61v, so even if the lithium cell does not have protection circuitry, there's no fear of it being over-discharged.
